HOW TO APPLY FOR IPO? | IPO க்கு எப்படி விண்ணப்பிப்பது?

 

INTRODUCTION:

                Hi Folks, In our previous post we have seen, what is an IPO, the process of IPO in India, Different phases of IPO, the Basis of allotment of shares in IPO, types of investors, etc... In this post, we will see How to apply for an IPO.

The most convenient and easy way to apply for an IPO of a company is through ASBA [Application Supported by Blocked Amount].

PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR IPO THROUGH ASBA:

1. Designated Bank: Designated Banks are the self-certified syndicate banks where one can apply for IPO through ASBA. The funds in your bank account will be reserved for IPO as per your bidding. the amount will be debited from your bank account only if the shares are allotted to you.
2. Fill out the Application Form: The bank will provide you an application form for applying for IPO, you will be required to mention the relevant personal details like your name, your PAN number, and the Demat account number also you will need to mention the bid price. This is only for offline way.
3. Applying online:  Applying for IPO through online mode is very simple, You just need a bank account, Demat account, and a PAN number. You can apply online by contacting your broker.
4. Submission: Once you applied you can submit your application, then you will receive an acknowledgment with the order number from your bank.

SOME KEY POINTS TO NOTE:

1. IPO issue will remain open for approximately 3 to 10 working days.
2. For Fixed price issues, you will receive the shares within 30 days of issue closure.
3. For Book built Issue, you will receive the shares within 15 days of issue closure.
4. Three weeks after the date of the closure of the IPO the shares get listed in the stock market in the case of book built issue.
5. For the Fixed price issues, it will take 37 days from the date of closure to get listed.
